Save our oceans
The ocean gives us a comfortable home to live in. But some humans don’t care much about the ocean. Their activities are putting the ocean in danger.
海洋给了我们一个舒适的家，但有些人并不关心海洋。他们的一些行为正在让海洋处于危险之中！
Ocean threats
海洋威胁
Global warming (全球变暖) makes sea levels rise. Cities near the sea might be in danger of flooding (淹没) some day.
全球变暖导致海平面上升，邻海城市将来可能会有被海水淹没的危险。
Over 8 million tons of plastic goes into the ocean each year. Sea animals like dolphins, whales and turtles eat them and get sick or even die.
每年有超过800万吨塑料垃圾排进海洋，海豚、鲸鱼、海龟等海洋生物误食后引起生病甚至死亡。
Because of overfishing (过度捕捞), there are fewer fish than before. This can affect the balance of the ecosystem (生态平衡).
由于人类的过度捕捞，鱼的种类比以前少了，影响到海洋的生态平衡。

What can you do?
Be careful with plastic
注意塑料的使用
Throw away plastic the right way. Remember to say no to plastic straws (塑料吸管). They break down into smaller pieces of plastic in the ocean.
塑料在海洋中可以分解成更小的塑料碎片，我们要用正确的方式处理扔掉塑料，还要记得对塑料吸管说不哦！
Clean up the beach
清理沙滩
Going to the beach is a lot of fun. Just remember not to leave your garbage on the beach. Picking up a little bit of garbage can make a big difference.
去海滩是一件十分有趣的事情，但不要把垃圾扔在海滩上哦！当你捡起沙滩上的一点点垃圾，这对海洋环境将会有很大的不同。
Look at labels
留意标签
When you are buying seafood, look for seafood with this blue label (标签). Seafood with this label is under protection (保护). This means when people make the food, they don’t catch too many sea animals.
当你去买海鲜的时候，留意贴有蓝色标签的海鲜（就是下图这种蓝色标签！），有这种标签的海鲜是受到保护的。这就意味着当人们制作食物的时候，他们不会捕获太多的海洋动物。
