1.1 Function introduction
 
P5000 series receiver adopts configurable design, a variety of optional signal source inputs, can decode H.264/MPEG4 AVC and MPEG2 and has the broadcast transmission functions, including ASI, MPEGoIP, HDMI, CVBS, AES/EBU, XLR and other interfaces; the encryption programs support multi-program descrambling (Irdeto, NDS VideoGuard, Viaccess, Nagravision, Canal +, MediaGuard, Cryptowork, etc.); the smart card is used to watch the programs encrypted by Irdeto, Novel Supertv and other CA (consult relevant technicians for other types of CA); it can monitor the abnormal signals and trigger the relay to alarm; provide friendly user management mode and open SNMP programmable interface for centralized management of the equipment in the radio and television machine room.
Note: The specific functions and interface configuration of each model in P5000 series will be different, please be subject to the material object. The engineering digital TV receiver is used for configuration of DVB-C and other modules and the engineering satellite digital TV receiver is used for configuration of DVB-S/S2 module.
 
1.2 Special instructions
 
The interfaces and functions marked with “*” require hardware support and software licensing. Please be subject to the material object for the hardware. You may view related license information in the interface “Main menu → version information → license information”.

2. System Installation
 
2.1 System connection
 
Please refer to the following figure to connect the satellite signal, audio & video equipment and other related equipment.
 
2.2 Power connection
 
1. Plug one end of the power cord in the power input interface of the machine and the other end in the power socket, and then press the power switch on the power socket;
2. Turn on the power switch on the rear panel of the machine and the system will be initialized.
Note: Turn on the TV power and switch to AV (audio/video) mode.
 
2.3 Program searching
 
Upon completion of the initialization, the system will automatically search the program according to the set frequency point parameter and the LOCK light on the front panel of the receiver will display the signal lock status.
Note: To modify the frequency point parameter, please refer to 3.2.3 program searching section.
 
2.4 Program playing
 
You may choose program playing or set PID value to play the program on the interface “Main menu → program information → program selection”. For specific operation, please refer to 3.3 program information section.
